Serenity By Rang

The inspiration of this Buddha came from the several poses and mudras i saw during my Japan visit a few years back. This pose when in full, is also called as the “Amitabha Buddha” means “Boundless Light” where in Buddha is depicted with both hands in lap, face up and the legs crossed, either is Double Lotus pose or in a Single Lotus pose.This painting offers serenity and calmness one is looking for. With closed eyes fully, this painting depicts focused concentration. The medium used for this artwork is Charcoal. A rare medium used, but offers the necessary sharpness and depth needed.
