About Artist

I Ms.Sarita Kumari Acharaya, Art teacher at odisa Adarsha vidyalaya govt of odisha. daughter of Mr. Padma Charan Acharaya and Mrs. Aruna Acharaya, from the rich cultural state of Odisha.


    I have been graduated in Bachelor of Visual Art with a pre Diploma from the highly acclaimed art college i.e. Government College of Art and Crafts, Khallikot, Odisha in the year of 2009. And then, I got my Masters degree from Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha in the year of 2012. During my studies,


    Moreover I am involved in various artistic activities such as Art seminars, workshops and etc. that encourage my creativity. I prefer to nurture my artistic activities by staying in touch with creative surroundings and at the same time, I also take note of social environment which eventually moulds my thought-process that inspires me to address the issues I am concerned about. My works are recognized by State Lalit Kala Academy and awarded by many organizations.
    Art & creativity being carrier, needs financial nourishment from organizations and Government assistance. Budding artists may flourish to greater extents by these benefits. In my case due to constraints of financial conditions of my family I’m unable to work as an artist in this competitive art field. If you select me for this scholarship I can go forward on above mentioned and contemporary social issues through my art and can do exhibitions of my artworks in any famous and reputed art gallery in India.

    I Got Youth Achievers Excellence Award in the field of Art from Prerana International Green Army on the occasion National Youth Day 2020 by Honorable Governor Biswabhusan Haricandan, at Bhubaneswar.
