Being a textile artist, I like to manipulate the scrap materials like yarns, sometimes stitching fabric and other material to create sculptural textures on canvas. I attempt to illuminate unexpected and graceful beauty of nature by observing various surface textures that I see around me and transits into my artworks. For me nothing is better for inspiration than the environment in which we live. My work includes the abstraction of colours and textures of the eroded surfaces and distressed forms that occurs in nature. It’s fascinating to know that Imperfections found in nature can translates into a beautiful piece of artwork.
